Eastern Shore Shingle-style
On the Wye River, MD
This impeccable, Eastern Shore Shingle-style home overlooks the picturesque Wye River, a 16.3-mile-long tributary of the Chesapeake Bay, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The house incorporates many elements of the Eastern Shore Shingle Style, including an asymmetrical design with steep gables and ample use of shingles on the ridges creating an esthetic of rustic informality. American Cedar & Millwork sales representative Randy Wolf has a close and decades-long relationship with the builder, Pilli Custom Homes, and provided the product expertise and materials, including Marvin windows and doors, Signature exterior doors, Nichiha siding, and Trustile interior doors. The Architecture & Interior Design was provided by Cathy Purple Cherry, AIA, CAS, LEED AP, principal of Purple Cherry Architects; Ashley Babaian, associate; Annie Kersey, interior designer, Purple Cherry Architects, Annapolis, Maryland. The builder was Pilli Custom Homes, Millersville, Maryland. Landscape Architecture was designed by Kevin Campion, ASLA, principal, and Nick Ries, senior associate, Campion Hruby Landscape Architects, Annapolis, Maryland.
