Please join us in congratulating Dave Purvis, who is celebrating 50 years with American Cedar & Millwork! Dave manages our Pleasant Garden, NC location and has been an integral part of our success and culture for five decades.
Dave began his career in 1975 with Brooks Building Products, which later became part of American Cedar & Millwork through acquisition in 2006. After earning his degree in Business and Economics Administration, Dave worked across multiple areas of the business, including hardwoods, the millwork shop, and moulding operations.
Throughout his career, Dave has contributed to a wide range of commercial projects—from Outback and Longhorn Steakhouse to Hooters, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, McDonald’s, and many others—while also working extensively with professional deck builders.
When asked what motivates him, Dave shared, “Being able to help builders do things other folks can't do.” This mindset perfectly reflects the American Cedar & Millwork philosophy of providing solutions, expertise, and exceptional service.
Dave’s professional journey mirrors his personal passion for woodworking and renovation, making his contributions both skilled and heartfelt. While many of our team members have been with the company for over 20 years, 50 years is a remarkable milestone—and one that truly sets Dave apart.
