About Me

As the eldest child of American Cedar & Millwork founders, Michael and Julie Neal, Jessica Neal grew up stepping in and processing payroll for the company any time her parents would go on vacation. Naturally, she went on to graduate from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Human Resources. She briefly worked for the company again after graduation, before going on to create and lead a Human Resources Department for PBM Products, a private label infant formula company in Virginia.

Jessica eventually left that position to become a full-time stay at home mother, while she actively volunteered with the Red Cross, Navy & Marine Corps Relief Society, and as a member of the first docent class at The National Museum of the Marine Corps. In 2006, Jessica returned to American Cedar & Millwork to "briefly" assist with payroll while the company searched for a new permanent HR Manager. Ten years later she is still here and continues to management all human resources operations of the company including payroll, benefits, recruitment, and events. She considers her fellow employees to be her "customers" and enjoys supporting them in their important mission to serve THEIR customers.

Jessica is the proud mom of three boys and enjoys volunteering at their schools, as well as with Meals on Wheels and the Boy Scouts. As the mother of a son with autism, she is also a fierce disability rights advocate and enjoys assisting other special needs families in navigating resources.
