April showers bring May flowers and there is nothing better to adorn a new kitchen than bright vibrant bouquets of color (or a Navy-blue kitchen island). This transitional/casual farmhouse style kitchen was designed by American Cedar & Millwork Kitchen & Bath Designer Kristin Baldwin McCarra and built by Frank Bachmaier of Devonshire Contracting for an Annapolis homeowner. It features a mix of textures, finishes, and colors that bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary.
The perimeter kitchen cabinets are from Crystal’s Encore line and features their French Villa square door style finished in Designer White with Cambria countertops colored in Blackpool with a matte finish. The Essex Knob in flat black from Top Knobs accentuates the wall cabinetry while the Channing Cup pull and the Lydia pull marry the design aesthetic, bringing the look together and complement the crisp white cabinetry and white farmhouse sink. The island is a Crystal Cabinet Beadboard in the Shoreview door style finished in Navy and a Silestone countertop finished in Iconic White Suede, also a matte finish. Additionally, the island has a beautiful Grothouse cherry and sapwood butcher block that ties in the wood accented range hood. Classic, comfortable and inviting describe this beautiful design.
