AIA CE - Designing Functional Outdoor Living Spaces

This course provides an overview of the growing outdoor living space and popular building materials used for its design, with a focus on outdoor kitchens. Many issues may arise during the design process that can make specifying difficult. This presentation will address how to create safe and functional outdoor living spaces, without sacrificing aesthetics, while identifying common misconceptions, including how to avoid them.

AIA Chesapeake Cloverfield Tour

American Cedar & Millwork’s Maryland Architectural Specialist, Rich Jones, joined the AIA Chesapeake Chapter’s Cloverfield House and Gardens tour and presentation which took place on May 11th.   Cloverfield is an historic Eastern Shore estate undergoing a massive archaeological and architectural restoration.

Monday, May 2nd, American Cedar & Millwork joined Jendell Construction (a Design Build Firm) in supporting the Fight 4 Diabetes Cure, annual golf outing fundraiser.   Held at the beautiful Manor Country Club in Rockville, Maryland, Brady Atkinson (GM of our MD location), Bill Wiseman, Dave Baldwin and Kevin Haker participated in the event.
